Description of the service

The ARENH scheme

  • ARENH (Regulated Access to Incumbent Nuclear Electricity) is a right that entitles suppliers to purchase power from EDF at a regulated price, in volumes determined by the French energy regulator (CRE).
  • When informed by the CRE, RTE starts transferring power from the EDF Balance Responsible Entity's perimeter to the perimeters of the Balance Responsible Entities designated by the suppliers which are beneficiaries of the ARENH entitlement. The transfer is made using methods which do not allow EDF to know what quantities have been transferred to each Balance Responsible Entity.
  • RTE provides each Balance Responsible Entity with all aggregated load curves for the consumption recorded. The consumption data is taken from the metering systems of the transmission grid and power distribution system operators.

The data download service

The service is aimed at Balance Responsible Entities and can be used by any duly authorised user to download the following data:

At Public Distribution Grid level:

  • Consumption curve recorded for aligned profiled clients (C97)
  • Consumption curve recorded for remotely-read clients (C93)
  • Calibration coefficient for the ARENH (C92)
  • Surplus energy curve for Distribution Grid site NEBs (C96)

At Public Transmission Grid level:

  • Surplus energy curve for transmission grid BRP PTS Site NEBs (C96TA)
  • Recorded consumption curve (C93TA)

Data about the sites connected up to the distribution grid has been sent by the Distribution System Operators (DSOs). This data is published weekly and monthly:

  • Data for week W is available by Wednesday of week W+3 at the earliest

  • Data for month M is updated by the Thursday following the calculation schedule for M+1, M+3, M6 and M+12 at the earliest

  • All of this data is republished after 10 March of year Y+1

Data about the sites connected up to the transmission grid is published daily, weekly and monthly:

  • Data for day D is available by D+1 at the earliest, and is updated in real time up until W+3.

  • This data is then updated by Thursday of week W+3 following the calculation schedule for M+1, M+3, M6 and M+12 at the earliest

Key

The data downloaded can have the following statuses:

Data about the sites connected up to the distribution grid:

  • 0 = Provisional

  • 3 = Approved

Data about the sites connected up to the transmission grid:

  • 3 = Approved
  • 4 = Definitive

Export your data

You may download your data for a 32-day period.

The exported data is in UTC time (two hours behind French time in the summer and one hour behind in the winter) and will be for the period that you have selected in the filter.

Data is exported in .CSV format and can be viewed using Microsoft Excel.

Note

The “Download ARENH consumption data” service is also available from the Data Portal via the BIG ARENH Consumption API.
