Update of connection offers in the Port-la-Nouvelle area

As part of the provisions relating to requests for the mutualization of connections for consumers and distribution system operators to the Public Transmission Network (RPT) (CRE deliberation No. 2024-200), RTE submitted a request to the CRE for a ruling on the implementation of mutualised connection facilities in the Port-la-Nouvelle area. The CRE approved the creation of this mutualisation area.

Through this decision, the CRE authorizes the anticipatory construction of a set of facilities enabling the creation of 310 MW of hosting capacity in the Port-la-Nouvelle area by 2034. However, the strategy proposed by RTE will make part of this capacity available as early as 2031 in order to meet customers’ needs.

To connect to the network, customers will be required to pay a share of the costs of these works, set at €156.25k/MW.

The characteristics of the zones can be consulted on the map of mutualisation areas published by RTE.

In accordance with Article D342-27 of the French Energy Codeall connection requests to the Public Transmission Network (RPT) within these zones, which directly or indirectly benefit from the connection capacity provided by this set of facilities and which have not yet been subject to a connection agreement, shall fall within the scope of the corresponding reference connection operation with mutualised extension.

Consequently, RTE will contact the affected applicants in order to revise the contractual arrangements for their connection impacted by this decision.

For any further information on this subject, please contact the commercial representative in charge of your connection project.
