Article 4 of the bill provides for the implementation of a land development plan to generate renewable energy for companies with a workforce of over 250 people on 1 January 2023.
Each company has a period of 2 years from the date of enactment of the bill to meet this obligation.
Article 40 of the bill provides for the installation of shade structures incorporating a renewable energy generation process for outdoor parking lots with surface areas over 500 m2.
The implementation of this measure is scheduled for 1 July 2026.
The exemptions and penalties associated with this measure will be more broadly specified in an implementation decree at a later date.
The establishment of renewable energy generation facilities on sites connected to RTE has impacts on the reliability of the grid, on the quality of electricity and on the safety of people and property.
Each customer has an obligation to report any significant changes to their installation to RTE, in particular the addition of power generation facilities in excess of 0.8 kW.
